10 Easy Pieces: Narrow Dining Tables
Most dining tables measure between 36 and 40 inches wide—a comfortable standard, but not always a practical one. For tight kitchens, narrow dining rooms, and passage-like spaces, we looked for tables measuring 34 inches across or less, with several coming in at a particularly slender 30 inches.
Above: From fourth generation Dutch table makers based in Winterswijk, Arco makes the Slim Dining Table. Designed by Bertjan Pot in 2005, all proportions are lithe and available in solid oak, semi-solid oak, or oak veneer. The Slim Rectangle (shown) is available in a few dimensions, the most narrow of them all measuring 55 inches long by just 27 inches wide. The widest this table comes in is 35.5 inches.

Above: Designed by Børge Mogensen in 1950, the BM1160 Hunting Dining Table is now produced through Carl Hansen & Søn. It measures just 32.25 inches wide and available in oiled walnut or oak with brass or steel hardware; $5,039 at Finnish Design Shop.
