Above: “On a recent Scandinavian vacation, my husband and I headed straight to Restaurant Daphne, star chef Frederik Bille Brahe’s just-opened canteen. It’s rightfully known as the coolest new kitchen in Copenhagen, and we are still dreaming about his deconstructed artichoke.” – Margot Guralnick

Above: “I was really excited to see that longtime Remodelista friend and architect Solveig Fernlund co-wrote and illustrated a children’s book called The Egret and The Buffalo with Milah Libin. It’s a story of the symbiotic relationship between a family of egrets feasting on bugs that pester a family of gentle buffalo—with graphic illustrations by Libin and watercolors by Fernlund. Above: “I recently visited Niwaki’s ‘pop up’ at Nickey Kehoe in NYC. The store has greatly expanded their selection of Niwaki products and it was so fun to see them in person—and to meet the founder Jake, whom I interviewed for Gardenista last year.” – Laura Fenton
Above: “In an effort to optimize sleep during this busy fall season, I recently did a pillow re-up. I’m a longtime adherent of latex pillows, particularly the sort you can adjust yourself by adding or removing fill. Above: “We were in Kauai a couple weeks before Hurricane Lowell devastated the island. We stayed at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay, which is situated in the most breathtaking location. Above: “Recently, I was taken by these electric blue curtain tiebacks from the 1940s at a new (to me) store, The Falls, which sells found an up-cycled pieces made in collaboration with Indian artisans.” – Nick Spain
Above: “As part of my quest to make my sofa as comfy as possible, I’ve been in pursuit of a new ottoman. I had four criteria: Must be small boned for a small space. No leather. Under $250. And, ideally, with some hidden storage. Happy to report Ikea’s Strandmon fit the bill: $150 and it fits two sets of feet.
